Undefeated Ping Pong Champ - May 4, 2015

GREAT NEWS!!!! I have been lice free as of April 28th, 2015 at one thirty pm. :)

Crazy what is happening in Baltimore. The area has been shut down and the missionaries that lived in the city were evacuated. We keep getting updates from the members and people on the streets about everything that is happening. I am praying that all of this ends soon!

This week was super great and super fun! It is so beautiful here and after being shut in the house for a week I found everything EXTRA beautiful.

This week we had lots of opportunities to go out and to do service. We did yard work with Hermana T. and I just feel in love with her. She is from Spain and has a crazy accent. Listen to this, her favorite food is DQ blizzards... Just like me!!!! She also graduated from BYU in special education. She gave me some pointers and great advice on the program :)

We had probably one of my favorite appointments of my mission this week. There was a less actives named Hna. F. that we finally got an appointment with last week and got to know her. This week she called us at 8 at night and invited us over. When we got to her house she was talking about the water taxis and how they pick them up by their house and take them to the centro. We were so confused because we have never seen water by her house. She asked if we wanted to go on a walk to see it. We went with her family on a walk and it was SO PRETTY! We had the funnest time talking, laughing and taking pictures with them :)

I have had some AMAZING food this week!!! Oh my goodness gracious!!! SOOO GOOD! There is this Hermana named O. and she is the best cook in the WORLD! She actually just went to the temple for the first time this week and was baptized for her mom! She wants to move to Utah and I told her she could move in with us if she just cooked every night :)

I. is an awesome new investigator that we have! She is amazing! Super Catholica, but really open to our message! She was a referral from the elders and they had given her a Book of Mormon. We went to her house for the first time and she had already read a little! Then we found out that she knows a less active member of the branch. She actually works with her! THEN, she told us that she wants us to visit her niece!

We had a Cinco de Mayo party at President M.’s house! I got to play some ping pong and had an awesome game! We were only playing to 11, but I ended up winning 19-17! Preparense!!!! I haven’t lost it yet :)

We had such a funny street contact this week! We were riding bikes and we saw this Hispanic women. We skidded over to her and started talking. First off, we looked ridiculous with our helmets on. Second, I had a bug in my eye and we all started freaking out. Then, Hermana Tinti accidentally hit the bell on her bike. She just started laughing at us. Hey, but we got a return appointment for this Wednesday!!!

That about sums up my week.
I AM SO EXCITED TO TALK WITH YOU ALL ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love...

Lou
