30 pounds in 1 Day - September 29, 2014

Hey - I will start off this email by telling you about a miracle that took place. I lost 30 pounds in one day!!! haha! After being force feed 10 pounds of rice every night for the past few days, I decided I needed to see the damage. I hopped on the scale, wanted to cry , and hopped off. But, when I got off this time I looked down at the scale and realized that it was broken! It has been starting at 30 pounds, not 0-. Hermana Zindel and I fixed it. So, that is the miracle of loosing 30 pounds. I have been thinking I am 30 pounds heavier than I am for 8 weeks! hahaha!

District meeting this week was tooooooooooooooooooo much fun! The elders bought us water guns. Anytime that somebody spoke English we got to shoot them in the face. Elder Moore was drenched! Hermana Zindel has really bad aim. She went to spray Elder Moore but ended up hitting a picture of Jesus! Pretty sure that’s against the rules - haha!

John Lennon, get it?

We have a new investigator named Y! She is C's neice! She is SO sweet! I just wish you guys could meet all of these people! She is 15, from the Dominican Republic and moved here almost a year ago to live with her aunt. She doesnst speak any english. She came to church this week and we have another appointment set up! Oh ya! C’s husband died a little over a year ago. This week she is going to be sealed to him! She asked us if we could go with her! We called up President and he said yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had an awesome time watching Women’s Conference! We had a party at Hermana Quintanilla's house. C came! So did Hermanas Maria y Norma! It was a great night! I made those almond swirly things mom! I think my favorite part of the night was during Elder Uchtdorfs talk. I liked when he said Heavenly Father is literally raining blessings down upon us. It is a stormin’ afuera! I agree we are the ones that keep ourselves from these blessings! We are the ones breaking his commandments, putting up our umbrellas and keeping ourselves from experiencing and enjoying the gifts that Heavenly Father is trying to pelt us with!

We had another great lesson with Y. Hermana Quintanillas came! I love members! Without Hermana Quintanilla, that lesson would not have worked! Y. is so amazing! She is kind, honest, lista and truly wants to know more! We had fun with one of our investigators who found a butterfly with a broken wing. Sooo cute :) Their dogs name is Moses!

This week we had a TON of lessons! We visited so many investigators and less active members. I am TIRED! haha! But, Hermana Zindel and I got a little discouraged last night. None of our investigators are ready to be baptized. Let me rephrase that. Most of our investigators are ready, but, they either don’t feel like they are or somethigngelse is holding them back. C, por ejemplo, came to church again this week, is learning more and more, but she doesn’t want to be baptized. She was raised by Nuns in Peru and doesn’t want to feel like she is turning her back on them. So, Hermana Zindel and I are trying to sort through everyones doubts and problems so that we can help them make this essential step and be baptized.

Another problem we are running into is the men! We cannot find any women to teach really. Here is the problem, we find these guys in the street, get so excited and set up a return appointments. Then, when we show up, we discover that they are not interested in learning more. They either want to serenade us with some Latin tune-age, or confess their love. We are stuck and don’t really know what to do. haha! So we found a cemetery and are focusing on Redeeming the Dead :)

This week my testimony of the Book of Mormon has been strengthened. It had been such a cool experience reading it in Spanish as well. Lots of our citas this week were either teaching the Book of Mormon or reading with investigators and less actives. El Libro de Mormon is everything. It is literally everything! I love the quote from Joseph Smith " Take away the Book of Mormon and the revelations, and where is our religion? WE have none" The truth of every lesson we teach and message we share depends on whether or not the Book of Mormon is true. This is why it is so important that our investigators read and develop a testimony of it. This is also why it is so important that even after we join the church we read from it every night and continually act on Moroni's invitation and promise- Read it, ponder about it, ask God if it is true. I know that if we sincereley do these 2 things, that our testimony of the truthfulness of this Book will hit us like a ton of bricks. I have done this and will continue to do this the rest of my life!

I. LOVE. YOU. GUYS. SO . MUCH.

Thanks thanks thanks thanks for the notes and packages I got this week!!! Hannah, those talks- WOWZA! The book with easy to access scriptures-WOWZAZAZA!!! Mom, overnighting your letter and sending me candy!!! I cant even tell you guys how much it means to me! I am so happy that families are forever! We is gonna have the time of our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
Hermana MAngum :)

Things I forgot to write about it the main body of my letter...

#1 This week we ate this really yummy green spaghetti! SO GOOD! The problem was that after, the next person we visited made us drink several glasses of chocolate milk even after we had refused. Well, as soon as we walked out of their house I threw up this concoction of green noodles and chocolate milk into a bush in the parking lot. n a s t y

#2 While street contacting this week, we had some crazy experiences. We were handing our Mormon.org cards the other day and several people grabbed our hands and held them on separate occasions, and started to pray for us. #maryland

#3 WE ARE MOVING TODAY AND TOMORROW. I dont know what our new address is. So, not sure what we should do about that. I guess I will just write you guys letters this week and hear from you later

Our neighbor Nancy! She made us chocolate cake with peanut butter icing because we are moving

Max these are for you! There was a car show downtown the other night! The last one is of the truck and it has a hot tub in the back and a flat screen tv.

Compliments on my "10 and 2" - September 22, 2014

FAMILIA! Como estan?

Lets see... to be honest, I am so tired I don’t even know where to begin. I can barely keep my eyes open right now... hopefully I can type this email out before sacking out on the computer.

I will start out with a cool story :) We had zone training down in Frederick. I drove us down there and we gave the Elders a ride too. Yep! I was driving on the freeway/ highway/ whatever it is called in Maryland. Ya proud?! The Elders kept making fun of me because I was so dang scared. "Nice 10 and 2 Mangum". When we got there, Hermana Parra (one of the other Spanish sisters) came to me and asked if I knew an Elder Diaz in New York!!! WHAT!? He had called them because he was trying to find someone to give an investigator a blessing to in John Hopkins and asked about me. Made my day :)

We had our Sisters Conference this week. AMAZING! We went to Harpers Ferry WV to go on a hike. All of the Sisters in the mission were there. I was SO excited, you know how much I love to hike! It was BEAUTIFUL! I don’t know how to describe it, so just look at the pictures :) haha! I didn’t realize how much history was out here in MAryland! Antietam Battlefield is like 10 miles from out house (we are gonna go for our P- day soon) Anyway, at the top of the hike, adorable Sister Richards gave a devotional and then we headed on down. AFter lunch and some more instruction, everyone headed home except for the 10 Spanish Sisters. Sister Richards wanted to have a separate meeting with us and make sure we are doing well. So, I don’t know if I told you this, but we 10 are the first ever Spanish speaking sister missionaries in Baltimore, Maryland. We are opening up the mission for sisters! Pretty darn exciting :)

We got a new investigator this week! Oh sweet baby she is amazing! I don’t know if you remember, but she is one of the people we chased down a week or two ago. Hermana Zindel and I made the goal is to be more BOLD! We want people to know our purpose and invite others to come unto Christ and be baptized. We want to be bold with our teaching and extending promises and blessings. Well, our lesson with her was perfecto. Oh my was it good! We had made that goal of being bold, and she helped us out by being bold herself! She straight-up asked us that our hopes are for her. We talked about el espiritu santo and lets just say the spirit was def def there.

Thursday, we had a car “fast” as a mission. No one used their cars and we walked and walked and walked. Well, we had lunch in the city with Hermana V. Then, we had dinner about 5 or 6 miles away from our house with the B family. So, the whole day was spent WALKING to our appointments for food. haha! Hermana Vargas made us empanadas and some sort of soup! She is from Chile and it was their independence day so we were celebrating with her :)

We had a list of people to make cookies for  and while we were trying to decide what cookies to make, I got your letter in the mail mom! Thanks a
bil-ka-gil!! We made the cashew cookies with the frosting from the Gods!  A. is another new investigator! He actually is a true angel! So kind! So sweet! He is a roommate of our ward mission leader Darwin. Other than always being tired because he works from 6 at night til 6 in the morning, he is beyond ready and prepared! :)

Saturday was hard. We went over to visit with C. because his daughter just had her baby :)

While we were having a little talk with C. about his reading and why he doesn’t feel ready for baptism, a visitor who was there came up and told him he doesn’t need to be baptized and just started to tear the church apart. She basically told us we have been brainwashed, That there is no way Joseph Smith was a prophet. That no religion is true, the only way we can be saved is through Jesus Christ, no other book or guidance or anything else can help us get there. IF we ever tired to talk, she would cut us off and go on diminishing our beliefs- basically telling us how stupid we are. Not only was it such a hard situation hearing the thing you love the very most in life, the thing you have dedicated 18 months of your life to be talked about in such a way... but C. was there having to listen to this. I have been praying my guts out that everything is ok.

Everybody is a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I didn’t just come out on a mission for fun, I came out because I know with all of my heart. that the church is true. I have read el Libro de Mormon. I took Moroni's challenge. I have meditated and prayed to my Father in Heaven if it is true. I KNOW that it is. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son. I know that Christ came to the earth and died for us so that we can be cleansed from the sins that we make everyday. I know that because our Heavenly Father is so dang loving, that he had given us a living prohet to lead us and guide us back to him. so we can live with him and our families para siempre.

Lets see, where was I ... 7 peoples promised us that they would be at church. We spent the whole morning running around with Darwin trying get everyone. Nobody owns a car here. Well, out of the 7, 2 came. At first I was disappointed, then I realized how amazing it was that we had 2 people there! Angel- he absolutely loved it, and Hermana V.! It was Branch Conference, so the Stake Presidency was there and the Spirit was so strong!

Thank you guys! I can feel your love and prayers cada dia! You mean the world to me! I miss you errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrday, but I am ok with not seeing you for 15 more months! haha!

Con amor...
Lennon :)

Sisters with Style - September 15, 2014

WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!!

Monday:
Well, to be honest, I was a little homesick on Monday. I was missing you guys and wishing I could spend Max's Birthday with him :( How was your bday by the way Max!?! I bet it was awesome :)

We had an appointment with our investigator N. She is so sweet and amazing. The only reason why she won’t come to church is because she has so many close amigas at the church that she attends now.

Tuvimos cena con la familia Quintenilla. We had her mission-wide famous pupusas. RICISIMO! Oh me - oh my - they were absolutely fantastic, delicious, succulent, life- altering!

Tuesday:
We had the best day planned out! Appointments with so many new/potential investigators we had found! We visited with the B. family. She made us some lunch RIGHT after we had just gone to Subway for lunch. She loaded our plates and gave me about 4 pounds of rice. I seriously wanted to cry and almost did. Hermana Zindel and I felt sick from toooooo much food the rest of the day! haha!

Our great day of appointments all fell through, every single person canceled. So, we decided to go and visit C. Darwin (our ward mission leader) came with us and it was the BEST lesson. We talked about the importance of baptism. C. does not feel ready. HE IS SO READY! He comes to church every week, studies his scriptures, C. is more prepared that most of the members in our ward. Well, Darwin was amazing... he got down on his knees and right up in his face and told C. that he is ready and needs to be baptized. C. wont set a date just yet... but I feel like it is coming :) We are gonna bring Darwin from now on :)

Thursday:
We got a call from a less active sister in the ward. She just had surgery this past week and said that she needed our help. We ran on over to the house. She needed us to change her bandages and clean out her incision. Oh my goodness, we were scared out  of our minds! She said that her husband was too scared to do it so she called us. We took it as a compliment that she trusted us that much and then went to work! haha! It wasn’t that bad and Hermana Zindel did most of the work... but I thought you would like to know that I am practicing medicine out here is Hagerstown :)

We had one of the most interesting dinner appointments, it was with C2. So, first off, we got there and C2 hadn’t started to make dinner yet but said she is a FAST cook........ It was ready almost 2 hours later. We had fish and we watched her as she literally took the knife, held it up behind her head, and swung down with all of her might! Fish guts were spraying... it was insane. haha!

Friday:
We painted an investigator's porch and it was a lot of fun :) We also had a great visit with a family in our branch... the Hess's. Hermana Hess is the only one in the family who speaks Spanish, but they come to our branch because they like the people and it fits better with their schedule. They are great people.

The missionaries are now doing translations at church and we have a little headset we have to speak into and everything! I haven’t had to do it yet.... Hopefully I don’t need to in the near future! I ain’t ready for that!

We stopped by to see JCs and he was sitting outside. He was on the phone with his ex girlfriend and it did not sound to good. It was actually the reason he wasn’t at church last Sunday, he was dealing with the situation. He vented to us for a little bit and told us he has no idea if he is going "up or down".  It is hard seeing trials happen to people. But, I know that there is always a reason behind it. God is not just punishing us, he is preparing us for something bigger and better. I believe that this hardship in JC's life could have happened because he needed to be humbled and have a desire to change his life around. You read about it in the scriptures all of the time. The people need to be humbled. It is hard at first, but in the end, you will find so much more happiness and blessings!

Saturday:
EVERYONE CANCELED YET AGAIN! But it is a-ok because we had the BEST day EVER! We found M. in the parking lot one night at around 9 o clock. We called him up on Friday but he didn’t answer. He called us back and after a 20 minute phone call, we got an appointment with him. He took us out to a chinese buffet (haha) and we had a great conversation! He said that he didn’t want to talk about anything churchy, but we did :) He started to ask us some very strange questions and was quizzing us about what is in the ark of the covenant. He is a funny guy and is always joking. We have a great relationship with him now! Although he was asking some strange questions and didn’t want us to bring up religion, I know that he feels comfortable around us now and secretly wants to learn more, he just wont say it out loud! haha!

Here is the miracle of the day. We have gotten really bold lately! If we are driving down the street and we see a Latino, we don’t just get sad and say "I wish we had been walking and could have talked to them" NO WAY JOSE! We pull the car over, we hop out, and we run after them! Well, this is exactly what happened with B! We saw him walking with his two little girls, we pulled over and started to chase after him! When we finally caught up, we asked if we could give him a card from our church and he informed us that he is already a member!!!!! He doesn’t go, but his records are in the English ward. We are gonna steal him and have his membership records transferred immediately!!!!! He was headed to the park with his girls, so we walked with them. It was over a mile! He told us his entire life story, he opened up and told us literally everything! It was one of the most amazing experiences I have had. I can’t describe it to you. We were feeding ducks and listening to B.’s life story after we had just chased his down in the streets... we literally were running after him. GAH!!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday:
C. came to church!!!!!!!!!! She drove us and I really thought I was gonna die. She is SO short and could barely see over the steering wheel. She got SO close to the Semi’s we were passing and would STOP before merging on to the freeway! The topics in church were Isaiah and work for the dead. Oh my goodness - I was so terrified and mad because our ward will not set up a gospel doctrines class. But, C. loved it and had a great time!!!!

We had a really interesting rest of the day! We decided to visit J! She was sitting outside looking for someone to help her do her hair. So, we offered our services! haha! We went up to her apartment and I but some relaxer in her hair! It was so dang fun! Never done it before, but I did it :) We made her bed and she asked us to say a prayer for her.

We also met this guy named Ch. and we are BEST friends now! He used to play professional basketball in Puerto Rico and has talked to the missionaries before! We are gonna teach him because he knows Spanish from playing in Puerto Rico! hahahahaha! We also stopped and talked to some kids who were making a skateboarding trick video! It was super fun and one of the kids biffed it a couple of times. And this old man came up to us and said... "Did you girls just get a speeding ticket? Because you have FINE written all over you!" hahahahahaha!

So... I am now a doctor, a beautician, a producer in a skateboarding documentary, I am a missionary, and I'm a Mormon!!!!!

I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Mangum and Zindel Continued - September 8, 2014

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX :)

16 16 16 16 16 16 16

Primero, Hermana Zindel and I are together for another transfer!!!! WHOOOO HOOOO!!! I couldn't be happier! Sad news, Elder Burrup is leaving. Our district is tight because there is only 5 of us. They shouldn't split up the dream team! I feel like OKC when they traded James Harden to the Rockets. Not cool.

Monday:
It was a good day but there ain’t much to talk about... sorry!

Tuesday:
We had a good appointment with our investigators A. and R. They are the cutest family! R. was very quiet our first visit, but on Tuesday she really opened up. A. is SUPER smart and asks the best questions! The day did not go so well after that. We had dinner with a family who fed us left over pasta salads from a picnic. Our plates were overflowing with heaps of old noodles and a pile of lukewarm lentil bean mush. I did it, I was able to eat it all. #perseverarhastaelfin

Right after cena, Hermana Zindel and I had to hang up flyers for a food drive in WV. The wards were all so disorganized and didn’t remember where they had already hung them. We were hanging them up in one of those apartment complex thingys and when we were almost finished, we saw one of the flyers hanging on a door that we ourselves did hot hang. Someone else had already been there!! So frustrating! We stopped by the church, I threw up a little bit of my dinner, then we headed home for the night.

Wednesday:
BEST DAY ERRRR!!!!! We had a fantastic visit with the B. family! They said they are gonna come to church soon- HUGE step! Then they gave us some clothes and old comforters! it was so sweet! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Their son smokes, so when we put our gifts in the car, had an appointment and came back out to the car, we were very surprised that the entire car smelled as if the Sister missionaries were breaking the Word of Wisdom! haha!

Then the most amazing milagro occurred. I cant even describe it because so many things were in play for it all to come together and happen. JC canceled so we were doing our back up plan and street contacting. We were walking down the street to find a referral we got for a lady who just got out of jail 3 months ago and wanted some $. As we were looking for her, Hermana Zindel saw some little girls that she had meet 3 months earlier who taught her and Hermana Tinti how to catch fireflies outside our house. They told us that their neighbors were Latino. Turns out that the vecinos are former investigators that Hermana Zindel has been trying to get in contact with for a LONG time! This is the VERY condensed and shortened version. But, I hope you guys get the gist of just how amazing and huge this miracle was! It really made me realize that God knows everything and is aware of what is happening. Although we may not see it til months down the road (like with Y., the lady we found via the little girls) we can know without a shadow of a doubt that He is aware and that his hand is in our lives!

Hermana Zindel may have hit a bunny with the car. She is such a scary driver.

Thursday:
Another Amazing day! We had a great appointment with C. She had us translate/help her file a complaint for a hotel she stayed at! haha! We met 2 more new investigators and have return appointments with them! J. is the bomb! He is 18 years old, from New York, so dang nice! I cant wait to see how it goes! Y2 is from Mexico, and was so kind and willing to talk to us :) SO EXCITING!

Friday:
We were out street contacting when it started to POUR! Holy cow it was absolutely insane! We were drenched but it was a ton of fun!

We visited with a lady member named Cynthia from nuestra rama. She was in the Dominican Republic for a few months visiting her family and stuff. She also went thorough the temple and is going to be sealed to her husband soon :) Well, she gave me a crazy pair of pants that she bought there! I will send pics :)

We decided to stop by and visit A. because we haven’t been able to get in contact with her. She didn’t answer :( But, we knocked on her neighbors door. R. answered, he is from Puerto Rico, and he invited us back!

Saturday:
We had an awesome visit with F! We read from the Book of Mormon and asked if she had been praying. She said yes and that she feels paz y gozo :) She knows it is true, but is scared to come to church. So, we set up an appointment for a church tour this week. Hopefully this makes her feel more comfortable :)

We had a fanflippintastic visit con JC! He just seemed different! He had questions and wanted to learn. His mom moved in, so she was there too! They said they would come to church... but they didn’t. We called 47 times on Sunday, I basically kicked their door in, but they never came out. Hard stuff :(

We had tamales- Hermana Marroquin made them just for me because I had told her that I like them. They were HEAVENLY!!!! sweet baby baby :)

Sunday:
M. and N. came to sacrament meeting!!!! It was so awesome! The branch was amazing! Love was in the air!!! Later we were driving down the street and saw T. (the guy who sang for us last week) so we quickly pulled over to talk to him. Well he was WASTED! Then all his brothers and friends came out and they were WASTED too. They were swaying drunkenly back and forth. Not the best. But we did get some numbers and return appointments! Who knows if they will remember them, but, we will just show up anyway :)

I hope that all is well at home! I have been a little worried about you guys this week... hope everything is ok! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH! I do not know what I  would do without your support and love and examples! I really have the BEST family! I knew this before, but I know it even more know that we are apart..

The time is flying by!!!

See ya guys in no time :)

Uncle Lyle and an ORIOLES GAME at Camden Yards!!! - September 1, 2014

FAMILY!!!

First of all, Uncle Lyle and I hung out a little bit this week :)

How are you guys!? How are things going? How is school? How is work? Hows the mish mish Han? I am so excited to read about it all!

Monday:
It was Elder Burrup's birthday so we had a little partay at the Quintenillas. BEST dinner I have had yet!

We also had a family home evening with the M. family. Our lesson was on prayer. Apparently, they believe in witchcraft so they told us a long story about praying in a house full of spirits. Then, the Mom shared an experience. While Hermana Zindel and I were walking to the car I siad "That was a crazy story about an earthquake huh?!" Turns out the story was about her son not drinking her milk when he was a baby. WHAT? Just when I felt like my Spanish was improving! haha!

Tuesday:
FUTBOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JC, N. and J. came :) I can’t believe I hated soccer so much when I first came out because I LOVE it now! Hold up, let me correct that, I don’t love soccer, I love my branch!

Wednesday:
Had my first ever exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders. I was scared out of my wits because I was staying in HAgerstown and Hermana Zindel was heading up to Martinsburg. The Sister Training Leaders don’t speak Spanish so I was gonna be doing ALL the talking! TODO! I wanted to cry my eyes out. Surprisingly, it went well! We had a lesson with M. y N., JC y F.! I was able to communicate just fine! I could really feel the Lord strengthening me!

Thursday:
NOT A SOUL ANSWERED THEIR DOOR! i am not lying. NOT A SOUL! We went through all our plans and back up plans. We could hear people inside they just weren’t coming to the door. I had heard stories like this happening, but I thought it was a lie or definitely an exaggeration. Nope! It happens!

Sister Jones was awesome to be with on the exchanges! She is 6 feet too! It was nice not feeling like such a giant! She is so dang funny too!!!  We had a blast together!

Friday:
To start off the day I got yelled at by the crazy lady upstairs. We forgot to take the trashcan in and she reminded me that we don’t live in the ghetto, we take our trash off the streets. Lets just say I am excited to get a new apartment.

And....wait for it......
We went to the Orioles game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness gracious! It was a blast! They do it every year! We rode to Baltimore with the Quintenillas. The ball park was HUGE and so pretty :)

Elder Burrup threw the first pitch of the game (because he is playing MLB after the mish)! How amazing is that!? All of us missionaries got to sit together so I was able to meet more and more people! The Orioles hit a home run with the bases loaded! Such a fun night! I will admit, it was VERY hard not to dance to the music they had playing. haha!

I was out cold on the ride home, but was awoken by the booming sound of Presidente Quintenilla's voice. He was singing these cute songs (kinda like your preschool songs mom) from El Salvador. Hermana Zindel and I joined in and had the BEST time!

Saturday:
I was so tired from the game. So tired. So tired. So tired.  It was definitely not my day. I just wanted to be at home, napping/ watching TV with you guys. I had the worst attitude. Not good. We went to visit Hermana Vargas and it completely flip flopped my outlook. A friend of theirs was over and we were getting to know him. They told us that he had  a really good voice so we convinced him sing for us! He was amazing! He didn’t just sing 1 song, he gave us an entire concert! During this personal concert in a small apartment in the city of Hagerstown it hit me... I realized just how stupid I was being! Who would want to be watching TV @ home when you could be out experiencing this!? It was def def a tender mercy from the LORD!

Sunday:
I sat with P. during sacrament meeting. I can’t describe her !I am going to make you all come out here and meet her someday! She isn’t hispanic, she just comes to our branch because she speaks Spanish. When I asked her why she learned Spanish her response was "Honey, when you date Latin men, you have to speak their language" bahahahaha! She is the best! She was tossing candy across the pews and making faces at all of the speakers trying to get them to laugh! #asacramentmeetingtoremember

After church we walked about 6 miles. It was so hot I really thought I was gonna pass out! Maryland is so dang humid!! I was sweating SO bad, my hair was drenched! I have a before and after picture I will send you guys!

All in all it was a good week! There was a few times where I got a little down, but as soon as I did, the Lord helped me remember and see all of the blessings I am surrounded by (one of those being the Popcorn Boppin CD- THANKS mom!) Just like Hannah said a while ago, our perspective is errrrthang! I could focus on how bad my feet and knee hurt from walking, how much I want to sleep, how much weight I have gained OR I could be grateful for all of the wonderful people I am privileged to meet and stories I get to hear while walking around in Hagerstown, and I could be grateful for the kind women in our branch who work so hard to feed us these delicious, big meals.
I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Can you believe this is the last week of my first transfer!? GAH! Time needs to slow down!!!
