#20yearsold - May 26, 2015

FAMILIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy to be emailing you guys right now! WOO HOO!!! It feels like it has been forever!

So, I had an amazing birthday thanks to y’all and the members of our branch!!! Thank you SOOOOOOO much! #20yearsold We had some really good citas with out investigators that day. I. is going to El Salvador for 3 weeks. But, she committed to read the Book of Mormon during her visit and said if she knows it is true, that she will be baptized. We had a dinner with la familia B. and they got us pizza, hung up a banner and gave us cake and ice cream. We went to another dinner right after and got some crazy good tostadas and ice cream cake. I got to open all of your wonderful presents. My companion woke me up by singing happy birthday. I got sung to at district meeting. It was a great great birthday! THANKS!

The rest of the week went amazing as well. I am not sure why, but, this week I was pretty homesick. I wanted to be with the family super duper bad. I found so many things in my personal studies that I know were put there just for me. I read such amazing talks about prayer and service and everything just hit me hard. But, I was still feeling homesick. But, Heavenly Father is just so loving, he blessed me with UN MONTON of tender mercies this week.

We had such a fun and tender mercies lleno day on Saturday. We had been trying to contact this lady, but she wasn’t home. There were these little girls that walked past us and we complimented on of their dresses. They stopped and we talked with them for a while. Then, a bunch of little kids came over and we were just having a party talking about Takis and christian music. When we finally told them we needed to leave, they ran over to us and we had a big group hug. One of the girls told us that she didn’t want us to leave and invited us to move into her house. Later that night we went to a birthday party. But, before the party started we got invited to play in a pick up futbol game. I was just running around in my skirt, playing in this little dirt field. They all just called me "Chica" and it was so much fun! Then, we went to the birthday party and just listened to some awesome Latino music, ate the most amazing food, and enjoyed every single second.

Where else would I be having these types of experiences!?

Sunday was probably the most rewarding day of them all though. Hermana Tinti and I got to go back to Baltimore for a Porque Yo Creo. It was a miracle itself how we even managed getting there. Being there, getting to see the branch and to be with everyone... that was an amazing feeling. Some recent converts from around the mission got up and bore their testimonies. I heard some of the most inspirational stories. R. bore her testimony as well! I got to see Hermana T. (we stocked your Instagram Mom... thanks for the b-day shout out!) I got to talk with R., N., la familia S!!!! They all came and hugged me, kissed me, told me how much they loved me. It really meant the world. I felt so loved and so special.

So, I can testify with everything that I got that Heavenly Father is aware of our situations. He knows exactly what I was feeling and what I struggle with. He blessed me with so many amazing experiences this week and I feel spoiled to have been so greatly blessed!
