This week was a really good one!
So, we went on exchanges this week! I had a ton of fun with that. I went to English work for 2 days and was serving with Dallas Swenson. That was a little strange! It felt like I was in high school again, talking about everyone that we knew. It is crazy how different English work is. But, I was able to learn some stuff and got some good ideas to help the branch out :)
We met a lot of knew people this week! It is crazy how easily I fall in love with the people that I am with! The list is so long and just goes on and on and on! I am so lucky to be serving and getting to know each one of these people!
On Saturday, A. got baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I looked for a ride for over a week and was not able to find one. I was getting desperate. I started asking people that we were street contacting to take me to Annapolis! Everyone was already busy or not really willing, so I was not able to go. We went out to eat at my favorite restaurant to mourn and a member in the branch invited us over for cookies. I was able to talk to A. on the phone and it was AMAZING!!! Here is the crazy part... Her parents came to the baptism!!! Her parents, who did not approve of her being baptized, made her feel bad and guilty for what she was doing, came to her baptism!!! When she told me, I started to cry! Even though I was not able to be there for the experience, as hard as that was, I am so grateful that everything went SO AMAZINGLY!!!
I was talking to Hermana Tinti and told her that there was a Porque Yo Creo in Winchester. I joking said that they should come and we could just reenact the baptism for me. Guess who came, who drove 2 hours yesterday to come and see me at the Porque Yo Creo? A and Tinti!!! They had brought a baptism suit and A held it up and we took pictures!!! I felt super loved and so grateful!!!
Something I heard that I really loved this week was about angels. Our mission president said that, we are being guided by our friends, family, and a host of angels to the people that are ready to accept the gospel. But, he also said that the people who are ready, they are being lead by friends and loved ones who have passed on, to us missionaries! I know this is true! This week we have dropped all of our investigators and are trusting in this promise! We have some promising return appointments with people we met on the street and I hope and pray they are ready!!!!
Also, I found my new favorite scripture… Romans 8: 35-39
