Somos Amigos de Dios - April 20, 2015

Hermana Tinti and I continue to tear it up over here in the capital of Maryland :) Familia... Annapolis is SO SO SO SO SO beautiful! The weather has been amazing this week! We have to cross this big ole bridge to get to the church and since the weather has been super nice all of the rich people have been out sailing their boats. It is amazing!

Ok... This week we really wanted to focus on finding new investigators because we only had one; and she has been being taught for almost 5 years and has come to church 4 times. Plus, she wont get married. So, we went to work and we found 5 new investigators!

M. is super duper cute! We found her while helping her take in her groceries and she invited us back. Her son recently got hit by a car, but he is doing good. We also found E. and S. The only problems that we are having now, is that none of these women can read. They already have the mentality that they are not going to understand what we teach to them, so it has been hard for them to grasp the messages. But, we have some good new ideas to help them out.

We also found M. and A! They are the CUTEST!!! We went over one day and she said that she was too busy for us but to come back the next day because she was going to be making tamales to sell. We told her we would be there are 4 o clock to help her out. We went back the next day and made some delicious tamales and talked about her family and just how amazing the spirit is. IT really hit me hard this week just how amazing it is that we are able to have a member of the GODHEAD with us at ALL TIMES!!!! WHAT!?!?! That is absolutely amazing! The Holy Ghost is the amigo of God and of Jesus. And we are the amigos of the Holy Ghost. So.... We are therefore amigos with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!

This week a new family in our branch, The L.’s got sealed in the temple! It was so fun to be able to set up for the reception and to see the joy and happiness that was there. M. was baptized about 2 years ago, and now her husband and her and her baby were able to be sealed together forever! Another plus about the wedding, other than the fact that this family will live together forever, is the music that was playing! jaja! It was really awkward though when this woman pulled me and Elder Cornejo out on the dance floor and tried to force us to do the cupid shuffle. #imissdancing

This week at church all of us missionaries had to give a talk and sing a musical number. First talk that I have given on my mission. 10 months without being asked to speak, I have been super lucky! But, it went really well. Being in such a TINY branch can be hard sometimes. But, when you have to give a talk and there are only about 10 people in the congregation, it is a plus. Also, since their is hardly anybody in the branch, we get HUGE pieces of bread for sacrament! I basically got served a role yesterday :)

The Navy Coach from Meet the Mormons meets in our building. Yesterday I ran into him and he gave me a handshake! Wooo hooo!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PACKAGE! Mom, I love love love the earrings! I haven't taken them off :) Max, YOUR ART!!!!!!!!!! I love it and have it set up on my desk!
But, what I love the most is the talks that you sent me mom. SO BEAUTIFUL!!! That is exactly what I needed, and my companion needed this week! It is so beautiful to think that Christ is with us and he feels every pain that we feel! When I stub my toe, Christ is there. He feels EVERYTHING that I feel! He is with me EVERY SECOND OF EVERYDAY!!!
Love you!
