HOW AMAZING IT WAS BEING ABLE TO TALK TO YOU GUYS YESTERDAY. I woke up with swollen eyes this morning from crying so much during our call, but boy was it worth it! I love you so much. I am so grateful to have you as my family. That was just a fun and beautiful and spiritual and enjoyable time talking to you! THANKS FOR BEING SUCH AN AWESOME FAMILY!
Quick run down on this week...
We got 5 new investigators this week and I love every single one of them SO much! So, we have T. and her daughter V. They were a referral that had told us to try again in May, and we did! They are the sweetest family from Ecuador that moved to the United States to save their marriage and their family. Family is so important to them and I am so excited to tell them how important families are in our church and the blessing of my family :) Hopefully we get to teach the husband as well!!
We have G. who is I.’s niece! She was going to come to church on Sunday but forgot and wasn’t ready in time :( But, that is ok! We were on exchanges when I went to visit her this week. Which meant that my companion didn’t speak any Spanish. I was a little worried about the cita but it went SO well! They understood EVERYTHING about la Restoracion! The priesthood, the great apostacy! TODO! They accepted the invitation to be baptized when they know that all of this is true. We will see what happens! :)
We also have L. and H. We hit the jackpot with this house! Holy Moly! There are four different families that live there and ALL are willing to listen. While teaching the lesson different members from the four families started to file in. Instead of just heading to their rooms, which is what normally happens, they filed into the room and listened to our lesson! I am praying that we are able to start teaching every family in this amazing house!
I already shared with some of you the miracle of W. and C! How absolutely amazing was that! We were out with our ward mission leader trying to find a W. and C. that Hermana Tinti had visited once. We thought we had found the house and knocked on the door. T. answered and we told her we were looking for a W. She let us in and introduced us to her 3 year old daughter, W. who has down syndrome. Then, we find out that her husbands name is C! We had a lesson with her and she was so kind. God is leading and guiding us! What are the chances of us looking for a W. and a C. knocking on the wrong house, but getting invited in and teaching a lesson because there just happens to be a W. and a C. that live in that house? I am so grateful for these kind of tender mercies that I am able to witness and be apart of everyday. Although at times I do not recognize them and appreciate them, I know that Heavenly Father is playing such a HUGE role!
Por ejemplo, during exchanges my sister training leader had a hard time participating because every lesson and every street contact was in Spanish. When we were getting ready for bed she said something that really stuck out to me. She explained that she has been on exchanges with the sisters in Annapolis and they never really run into people that are Spanish speaking. But here in the same area, with me, we only found hispanics. I know that Heavenly Father is putting these people in my path and my companion’s path for a reason. We are meant to meet every single person that we talk with :)
Also, it was such an amazing experience being able to go back to my old area and to do service there. Cleaning up from the riots in Baltimore was hard. It was hard seeing the houses that I used to visit surrounded by even more trash, the city just seemed super sad. But, I am glad that my favorite place in the world, Baltimore, is on the mend and that things are getting better!
Another tender mercy is that I scored my first goal in soccer... EVER!!!!!
QUE VIVA MEXICO!!!
LOVE YOU!!!! SO HAPPY I GOT TO TALK TO YOU!!!
