I Got a Testimony Like a Body Builder - July 23, 2014

6 DAYS!!!! Yep, in 6 days I am these shoes are walking.

Holy Cow! It is happening! I have my flight packet, we are starting to pack! I am so excited I am about to POP! THere is one Elder that is going to Baltimore too! Don’t know who he is, but I am glad I wont be alone. Everyone, every single soul in my district is leaving early monday morning and I ain’t peacing out til 2 in the morning on Tuesday. So... not sure what will happen companion and district wise.

I don’t have much to write home about and my face is covered in zits so there wont be many pics either! haha!

The 6 elders in our district live alone in their casa. So, this week they went and got extra 14 mattresses and built a giant fort!!! They called it the Great and Spacious Rortress! So funny!

The other hermanas and I got to go and sit in on a Latino class! It was probably my favorite part of the week! I had to recite the 1st vision by memory in front of the entire class! SO SCARY!!!

On Sunday Hermana Tolman and I were in the bathroom before Relief Society and a girl came up to me and asked if I was from Provo. When I said yes she said "I knew that I knew you!" She was a cheerleader at Orem and recognized me from the basketball team! haha!

The devotional was life changing this week! It was by Brother Cates, who is director guy here! My favorite part was about being a “disease”! There was a long and funny back story behind it... which basically winds down to this man in his old ward always telling him "your’e a disease". He never understood until he was on his mission. We need to be a disease! Don’t go away!!! This really got me thinking! It reminded me of Sister Tueller... That woman was not just a disease, she was a plague! Hanging up quotes, not giving up when Gma and Gpa joined the Methodist church, always being their friend! What if she wasn’t a disease? What is she had given up? I wouldn’t be serving a mission thats what!

The district that got here the week before us left :( Super sad and super exciting! We got really close to them so it was hard to say goodbye! They are doing to New York so I told them to watch out for DAvid!

Elder Johnson found a cocccckroach and I named him DeMar. He stuck him in Hermana Alhstroms scripture cases and she freaked out! We thought is was funny... she didn’t.

How many ways are there to conjugate a verb!?! How many irregular verbs are there!? WHAT IS A SUBJUNCTIVE!!!???!!! GAH! I fell so lost when it come to speaking Español sometimes! But, I must not be that horrible because Hermana Ahlstrom and I got asked to tutor some other elders.

There was some crazy weather this week! A HUGE, AMAZING lightening storm! And there was the most intense rain storm I have ever seen on Friday! It poured so hard the streets were flooding in seconds and then it began to pelt hail! so fun :)

My group is officially the oldest group here! People keep coming up to us and asking for advice. It does not feel real. In 6 days I will be on a plane flying to BAltimore! SANTA VACA! I am so ready! I need to get out there! I need to start sharing this message! I thought I had a strong testimony before I left, but during my time here at the CCM my testimony has become a body builder! It is so ripped and can bench press 250! It can squat a bus!!!! I KNOW that this church is true! I KNOW that God not only listens to our prayers, but that he wants to communicate with us. I KNOW that I can live with my family forever, that EVERY person will be resurrected and receive a PERFECT body, I KNOW that God is loving! I KNOW that Christ died for the salvation of the world! I KNOW that it is only through him and his atonement that we can return to our loving Father is Heaven! I KNOW that God knows me, my doubts and worries, that he wants me to turn to him and want nothing more than to help me out. I KNOW the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus CHrist.  I have hung on its every word while I have been out. I want to receive all of the amazing, beautiful blessings it promises! I KNOW that because God is so loving that he guides us through a living prophet today. I KNOW that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the gospel was restored through him,. I KNOW that no matter what problem anyone is facing, that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the solution! I KNOW that as I strive to become more like Christ that I will be filled with joy!

My Spanish may not be ready, but I am ready to go! I know that this gospel is true and can bring happiness to EVERYONE! In 6 days I get to share that!!!!
