This week was awesome and very different from a normal week of missionary work. I want to start off telling you about our amazing new investigators.
So, we started teaching B. and M. B. is so so cool! He is 16 years old and we had the most amazing visit with him this week. I cant tell you how perfectly it was going. He understood the doctrine, he was excited, he was eating everything up. We shared the first vision with him and the spirit, HOLY MOLY THE SPIRIT!!!! B. told us afterwards that he felt so happy and joyful, and peace that was hard for him to describe. He said that he knew Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the church. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! We asked him to be baptized and he said that he already was. He said that he is good in the church he goes to. He said that all the churches are the same and that to him and his church, Joseph Smith was a good man, called of God to be a prophet. We are just gonna have to help him put together all of the puzzle pieces. We went back later that week with a member and taught him and his mom. We explained the Restoration again, and otra vez. the spirit was SO STRONG!!!! His mom excepted the invitation to be baptized. We will see how things go this week.
L.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! L. is the cutest woman with the cutest son named S.!!! We got to meet her this week and she was actually a media referral, which means she requested the missionaries! We went over this last week and got to know her and shared the restoration. She also said that she will be baptized as she comes to know the truth :) Her son was running around and giving us his Halloween candy. L. was super interested in the activities of the church, the primary etc. She is so so so so so cool!!! Also, what is super nice about L. is that she is not attending a church right now. That has been our struggle lately. We have been meeting the most AMAZING, HUMBLE, BEAUTIFUL people who are so kind and loving and sweet to invite us over and listen. But, they are just wanting to hear a message from God; they are not searching for the truth. So, being able to teach L. is amazing!!!
We had the funnest dinner appointment with the P.’s. They took us out to Tutti Frutti and it was so so so fun! I cannot wait for you all to meet them.
The things we did this week that were kinda out of the norm was that we had a wedding at the church. A less active and her boyfriend got wed :) We spent a really long time on Thursday setting everything up and then all of Friday night at the wedding. It was super fun :)
Yesterday was the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, Hermana Tuttle and I got to go back to Frederick! Where we served together last time!!!! So, they had an activity and we got to go. We went with S. and J. It was so so so good! J. is atheist and he doesn’t want to go to church with us, but he was willing to drive us all the way to Frederick for this activity. It was amazing and so so good! S. loved it! J. doesn’t let her go to church or go out much because of her health. So, she loved being around everyone and getting to talk about God etc. The best part of it all though was that we were able to see everyone from Frederick!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!! WOW!!!! Everyone was running up to us, jumping on us and telling us how much they missed us. I felt so so so loved :)
We had some amazing conversations with some people in the street this week. We talked to the L.’s neighbor. He was going through such a hard time and opened up to us. He was raised Jewish and really didn’t know anything about Christ's life. We were able to give him some comfort and he is going to start meeting with missionaries. WE also met this guy named K. K. was built like a NBA player. He was probably like 6’5”, bulky etc. He was atheist and by the end of our talk we had him crying. He was being a little stubborn and said that he wasn’t going to pray, but I know he will :)
I am so grateful for the people I am getting to know. I know that each of them is influencing me and I am so grateful for that!
I hope that you have an amazing and happy and wonderfully great Thanksgiving!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
