Revelation 21:3-4 - Nov 16, 2015

This week was super awesome! We had some really amazing experiences :) Probably my favorite one was when we saw this group of people standing next to a tower of boxes. We realized that they were moving in and we asked them if they needed any help. They were reluctant at first, but eventually said yes. We started hauling up these boxes and furniture to the third floor. The guy, who is 65, could not believe it. After finishing helping them move in he kept asking us where the cameras were and if he was getting punked! haha! It was so funny! He said that he didn’t understand why we had come and helped without wanting anything in return. We were able to have a great conversation with him and it was an amazing experience.

Z., got sick this week and canceled our appointment. We had been so excited to see her that we decided to go anyway and bring her some donuts. She let us in and we had a great visit with her. You can tell that she is really warming up to us. She is so amazing! I can see some cool miracles coming real soon with her and her fam fam :)

Church yesterday was fun and we also had the young women in excellence program. I had to translate for the stake YW leaders and I forgot all of my Spanish. That was pretty embarrassing. Another embarrassing thing that happened was that somebody had given us a piece of pumpkin pie. I don’t remember why but we were frustrated and I started to eat the pie in the car on the way home. Halfway through the piece I realized that the pie wasn’t cooked and I had been eating it raw... oops! Haha!

There are a ton of other experiences and things that I could share, but I don’t have too much time. I love you all!!!! I am excited to see you SO soon! I am super excited for some NBA basketball! I have actually been dreaming about it! haha

Also, I found some really really amazing scriptures this week!

Revelation 21:3-4
Isaiah 41:10
Psalm 34:19

I know God loves us. :)

Love you!!!

The Blessings of The Book of Mormon & Tae Kwon Do - Nov 9, 2015

Family, this week was just awesome!!! I cant believe it is my last transfer... Well, Hermana Hicks is gone. I miss her a ton. But, it has been fun being back with Hermana Tuttle.

So, there are these two kids that come to church every single week with their grandpa. Their mother is less active and hasn’t wanted anything to do with the church. People have tried to ask if the missionaries could teach her kids and nothing. She said that she doesn’t want them to be baptized or go to church. We had the task of getting in contact with her and asking her if we could teach her boys. So, we have been trying to visit her for 2 months now and this week we finally got in!!!! Z. is SO sweet!!! Holy Moly!!! We had the best visit with her talking about her job, her nails, and her going back to school to get her high school diploma. We didn’t talk about the church, we just tried to be her friend. She invited us back, and was so warm and friendly with us. It was amazing!!!

We also met with Hermana G. She is so so so amazing!!! She is not able to come to church because her husband is very against it. But, she was so kind, so loving and so sweet with us. She asked us to share a message from the Book of Mormon, told us about a special spiritual experience and said "We need to share this message!" and is going to talk with a friend of hers to see if we can start visiting her!

We got to go to see I. in his Tae Kwon Do competition. We didn’t know that is was going to cost money to get in, $10 bucks a person! We didn’t have the money and we didn’t know what to do. We went to tell the guy we couldn’t pay and to ask if we could just run in and tell the him and his family that we wouldn’t be able to make it. He smiled and said "Ladies don’t worry about it" stamped our hands and let us in for free :)

S. and J. are doing awesome!!!! We saw them last night and it was SO good! J. continues to ask us a lot of questions. We had them watch the Restoration video and they both loved it! We talked about the Book of Mormon and J. had question after question. I felt so calm, and felt a special strength helping us when we were there. I am not afraid to answer his questions and I feel so confident. He thinks it is all very interesting. The cool part is that as we were leaving we asked him to read the Book of Mormon and to pray. He was iffy about the pray part, but, finally said that he would. As we were leaving he looked at me and said "You are convincing me.” hahaha! Little does he know that the spirit is getting to him! He is changing. He is starting to feel it! There is no doubt about it!

I love you all so so so so so so so much!!!!

OH! I forgot to tell y’all!!! I also had to give a talk on Sunday in church. It was about what Christ means to me. I don’t know what came over me and it was not planned, but, I shared with the ENTIRE branch my story about missing the wedding and getting lice at the same time. I wasn’t sure why I did it, but... I did. The rest of the day at church and afterwards as well, people were coming up and thanking me. They said they appreciate my humility and willingness to share. haha. People thanked me over and over again. haha. So, I guess the Columbia third branch benefited from my traumatizing lice experience. :)

Can You Believe I Started My LAST Transfer!? - Nov 2, 2015

So, this week was just great! - MOM, I hope you had a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And I hope everyone else had a Happy Halloween :)

So, This week was great because we were able to meet with a lot of members and less actives that we have not been able to see in a long time or ever! It was great to get to know them :) And we were also able to do some fun service :)

I will tell you about the coolest part of our week though. This week we went to go and visit S. and J. (her hubby). S. had invited us over while she would be doing her dialysis treatment so that her husband would be there and we could meet him. He is atheist and S. is very worried about him. We sat down and got talking. J. felt free and open to ask us all of his questions and we were able to answer them. We talked about the apostasy and left them to watch the Restoration video. During part of the lesson, J. had to leave the room to go and get something for S. and she looked at us and said, "I have been praying so hard for this all day! He is reading from the Bible! He is talking about God!" and she was trying not to cry. I felt so humbled and so grateful to be apart of this experience. This was something that S. has been praying for. She wanted her husband to listen to us and something as small as him reading, John 14:26, for us was a HUGE step and a miracle for her and her husband! I love this fam fam :)

This week we also had a sisters conference and it was just what I needed! All of us sisters got to go on a hike and we got to hear from Presidente and Sister Christiansen and from the senior sisters in the mission. Wow, their advice and love was just what I was needing! It was absolutely amazing and inspired!

Sad news, Hermana Hicks is getting transferred. She is heading to Baltimore and I am so happy for her. But, I really wanted to end my mission with her! She is the best!!!!! Hermana Tuttle is coming here! I served with her in Frederick.
Can you believe that I have already started my last transfer!?

Les Quiero!
